Hay rides through the Farm:
Starting September 17 we give free rides with our antique tractor and wagon every Saturday. Go through the fields and into the wood and learn about the behind the scenes operation of a plant nursery. No sign up necessary, the rides start on the hour beginning at 11:00 AM.
Hay bale Maze:
We built a cozy hay maze inside a greenhouse for hours of fun regardless of the weather. Designed for kids (ages 2-8) it is a fun, safe adventure with lots of happy surprises. The most fun might be diving in the hay stack searching for hidden treasures. The maze is open every day, self-guided and easily supervised by parents.
Scarecrow Building Contest:
This has become our most popular activity. For a $5.00 fee you receive a scarecrow frame, hay for stuffing, and basic clothes and supplies. Our enthusiastic staff will instruct and encourage you in building a one-of-a-kind scarecrow that you will bring home with you. We take photos of you and your creation, at the end of the day the most creative scarecrow wins a prize… On October 29 A grand prize winner is chosen from each Saturday winner and awarded a $50.00 gift certificate!
This is a great activity for the entire family. We provide two frame sizes, adult and child, and all the basic supplies. You are encouraged to bring anything that will make your scarecrow unique. Some past favorites include a ballerina, fireman and even a doggie scarecrow. Please register for this activity as space is limited. Scarecrow building is every Saturday from October 8th through October 29th at 10:00 AM, 12:00PM and 2:00 PM
Pumpkin carving Station:
We provide stencils, instruction, and child safe carving tools. Best of all, the mess stays here with us. Located indoors, pumpkins can be accessorized as far as your imagination will take you. The cost is the price of a pumpkin. ($5.00 - $12.00) The carving station is supervised on weekday afternoons and Saturday.
